Next Chapter Of Pirate Love

Title: Rune Pirate: The Lost Pages
Chapter:3
Author: Juui-chan
Rating: PG-13. . . .maybe
Disclaimer: I DO actually own these characters! All of them are in fact mine and will/are copyright Juui-chan!! Thats right folks, original characters!!
Notes: This whole story was based on a dream I had that I finally decided to write down and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it and the more notes I wrote on it before I just started writing the whole damn thing out.

Kero landed next to the ship carefully as the wind began to blow hard again. He put his head down to let Constance slide off his long neck. She slid off easily and turned around to watch him turn back into his little self. When he was back to his regular size, he shook himself for a minute and licked his lips. He looked at Constance and wagged his tail proudly” job well done! We did good!”

She smiled to him and walked toward the ship, the back door beginning to open for her. She walked into the cool breeze of the metal ship and slapped a box full of buttons figuring one of them would do what she wanted. There was a loud beeping noise as the door behind her closed, and she immediately turned to the right up the stairs. She walked threw an open door and down a long hallway passing the section of the ship that contained the important rooms such as the Kitchen, the Dinning Room and the infirmary. The walls themselves were bare except for the metal gray color on them. On the wall next to the open doors to the kitchen, dinning room and infirmary were the names of the rooms in a red sloppy handwriting. Her pace quickened after a moment when there was no movement from the ship.

“JC, why aren’t we in the air?” she asked getting upset again.

“Sorry, I was waiting for you and Kero to get back” he said apologetically.

“Well, we’re back and if you didn’t notice we have company so the pace out of here should be faster dear.” she said walking threw the hallways up to the cockpit.

“Yes Captain,” JC said in what Constance thought of as a sad tone. She continued walking toward the cockpit with Kero trotting behind her. She practically jumped over the three stairs up to a mini platform and jumped two steps at a time while grabbing the handles up to the cockpit. When she
finally reached the door, it opened quickly before her making a swishing noise. She walked in and the ship gave a jolt up. She lost her footing and tripped into the pilot chair, stomach first. No one was sitting there, but the controls around the room were moving on their own and all the lights
were activated. There were two large panels on a top level with chairs to go with them. Below them was another level with two more large control panels and chairs as well. At the last level was a big chair for the captain to see and overview. Constance rarely sat in that chair since it gave her a bad backache.

“Thank you” Constance said trying to catch her breath from being slammed in the stomach from the chair. She held on tight as the ship propelled upward into space, getting faster and faster.
Constance hated takeoffs the most. Once they were in space, the ship calmed down a bit and the controls on the boards moved back into their regular spots. Constance sat down in the pilot’s chair
and sighed a sigh of relief. How good it felt to sit down after such a hard job. And this was worth certainly it.

“So do you have the book?” JC’s voice echoed threw the room.

She smiled and reached into her inner coat pocket to find it still there and pulled it out. As she did, she heard a camera in the left corner zoom in and she held it in that direction giving it a little shake. “Mission accomplished” she said triumphantly. “Why don’t you come and see it?” she asked.

“I’m still charging” JC’s voice said embarrassed.

“So? You know you want to see it?” she said seductively. She waved the book teasingly to the camera and waited a second. She saw the camera zoom back to its original spot and noticed a light to her left go from green to red.

She smiled to herself and took the book in both hands to examine it while she waited. The cover had no markings on it, and there were no markings on the binding either. She was tempted to open the book and feel the paper on her fingers, but felt it was probably safe to wait. Never know what
could be hiding in a book this valuable.

She heard the door behind her swish open and footsteps entered behind her. She turned in her chair and looked up to see a young man with dark hair down to just below his neck. His piercing blue eyes staring at her. He was incredibly handsome, and looked well built under his clothes. His
face looked tired and embarrassed at her. He sighed when he saw her and she couldn’t help but smile triumphantly.

“Is that it?” he asked pointing to the book.

“Yup” she said handing it to him. He took it and began to examine it himself in his own way.

“How much longer did you have to recharge?” she asked noticing how upset he looked and tried to change the subject.

“At least another 3 hours”he sighed. “That last stop took a lot out of my system. It took a while for me to repair myself properly. Probably another reason why I didn’t pick up on that other ship.”

“Yeah, but it was well worth it,” she said softly leaning forward to touch his arm. He looked down at her and finally smiled back at her. Constance sighed to herself as they forgot about the book completely, and started at each other for what seemed like hours.

Suddenly the door behind them opened, and a small girl came running in toward Constance.

Constance immediately took her hand off JC and turned toward the girl. She was young and was completely adorable in every way. She had gray shoulder length hair with brown bangs and brown triangle shapes that connected to her long jack rabbit ears. She wore a gray tank top, with brown triangle shapes on her stomach and gray pants. Her green eyes and long lashes looked straight ahead at her target as she ran threw the door with a big smile. She wore brown boots and purple gloves as they jumped onto Constance for a hug. Her long tail wagged happily and her wings flexed back and forth excitedly.

“Captain! Captain!” the girl’s voice squeaked. ”I’m so glad your back! I’m so glad your back!” She squeezed Constance’s neck and Constance had to pry the girl back to breathe.

“Thank you Keira. .” Constance managed to cough.

“I was worried about you and Kero! Is he OK?” she asked looking for him. Constance looked around not really remembering if he had followed her in or not. But at the sound of his name, Kero got up from his hiding spot in the corner where he usually sat for takeoffs. He walked toward Keira triumphantly and sat down in front of JC.

“Your brother’s fine,”Constance said comfortingly. “In fact, he did an excellent job. So good you guys may get an extra dessert tonight after dinner. You should definitely thank him when you get
the chance”

Keira ran toward her brother and gave him a hug too. “Yeah for dessert!” she giggled. Constance and JC giggled as well. Finally after petting her brother and checking him over she turned toward JC and noticed him holding the book

“Is that the book you wanted Captain?” she asked, her ears bending back in a confused manner. JC looked at it and held it up for her to see.

“Yup, this is it,” JC said holding it out to her. She walked up to it and without ever touching it, took a few sniffs.

“Ooh, there’s something special in there” she said getting excited.

“I know!” Constance said chuckling and reaching out for Keira. She skipped toward Constance and jumped into her lap like a daughter and mother. “And you get to help me find out what that is as soon as JC’s done with it. Does that sound like fun?”

“I guess so,” she said sounding bored. “If I find anything does that mean I get an extra, EXTRA dessert?” she said leaning over to Constance.

Constance raised her eyebrows and made a confused, funny face. She looked at JC for help but JC could only watch amused as he crossed his arms. “Maybe. . “Constance said unsure. “It depends on what we find OK?”

“Then lets go!” Keira jumped off Constance lap and jumped toward JC grabbing his shirt. He smiled and bent down to her height.

“Let me finish charging myself and then I’ll take a look at the book. In the mean time, why don’t you help the Captain back to her room so she can take a bath and get ready OK? I think she would really like you to help her with that, don’t you think?” JC said softly and calmly. It struck a cord in Constance’s heart as she listened and watch the two of them together. Keira smiled and nodded before turning back to Constance. She held her hand out for Constance who took it softly.

“Come on Captain, I’ll help!” she giggled.

Constance got up still holding Kiera’s hand and began walking toward the door. She stopped before exiting and turned back to JC. “JC, don’t plot a course yet till we finish with the book, just get us out of range of the other ship. Got it?” she said sternly.

JC nodded at the command, and behind him, a few buttons moved around on their own. Constance licked her lips and held her breath debating what she wanted to say next.

“And let me know when your done charging so we can look at the book,” she threw out as she began to walk out the door. Suddenly she stopped and walked back into the room right up to him.

“Oh and one more thing. . “

JC looked nervously at her and not realizing it, he straightened right up. “Yes, yes, “he stuttered.

“Don’t call me “Captain”“ she whispered and kissed him on the nose. She smiled teasingly and walked out the door, not looking back. JC stood there embarrassed and sighed. He looked down and noticed that Kero was still sitting there watching him intently. “What?” JC asked defensively.

Kero got up and made a groaning noise in his throat and wagged his tail. JC sighed and shrugged. “Ok, Ok, lets go.”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Fucking South Park cracks me up with their parody of The 300!!
Rune Pirate Love

Title: Rune Pirate: The Lost Pages
Chapter:2
Author: Juui-chan
Rating: PG-13. . . .maybe
Disclaimer: I DO actually own these characters! All of them are in fact mine and will/are copyright Juui-chan!! Thats right folks, original characters!!
Notes: This whole story was based on a dream I had that I finally decided to write down and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it and the more notes I wrote on it before I just started writing the whole damn thing out.

She took a step onto the platform that had opened for her automatically when the door opened and waited for her pet to come out behind her so she could close the door. She waited a moment and when he didn’t come out she looked back in to see him hesitating.

“For crying out loud would you hurry up? The longer your in here the less food I’m feeding you tonight!” she cried angrily over the wind. She found that she also tended to have a shorter temper among other things.

The dog like animal gave a small groan under his breath and trotted out into the storm and down the stairs. His fur was a sharp gray color except for the dark brown triangle spots on the tip and bottom of his ears. As well as his back paws and end of his rabbit type tail. The brown shades under his stomach were only visible when he stood up however but also in a triangular shape. The only spot what wasn’t in a triangle like shape was the random brown patch of fur on his head. He also had dark purple colored fur in a half circle under both eyes, covering his front paws and in round patches on each of his back thighs. His body was long like a dog but well shaped almost like a fox, the head most notably was fox like in shape. His ears were shaped like a large jackrabbit while his tail was long and slender like a cat'. The final strange animal mix match was the bird like wings on his back and while they weren’t very big, they were strong enough for him to use if needed. His eyes had a piercing green to them although it was hard to see since he had his protective outer eyelids covering them from all the sand.

Constance watched Kero go down the stairs and once he hit the ground she closed the door behind her and headed down herself. She went as quickly as possible, trying to out power the wind as it blew on her. Once her boots hit the ground, the stairs automatically began to rise back up into their storage compartment on the ship. She watched, making sure they made it all the way up and took one more look at the ship before she began trudging away from it with Kero following close by.

“Lets see, the coordinates said that there should be cliff with a cave near by with the entrance to the temple. . .” she turned toward the left and scanned the area. Without realizing it, Kero had ignored her and had continued moving toward the right. She turned to him when she heard him give a bark telling her “this was the right way, hurry up.”

“Figures you would know where we’re going. . “ she mumbled to herself. “Runemons. . .” she sighed. “Just remember where we parked the ship too!” she screamed back to him. She heard a bark over the wind and took it as him telling her “he would, hurry up!”

Constance had to practically jog to catch up with Kero as he lead the way threw the storm, pausing every minute or so to sniff the air. It was obviously hard to get a good scent with the wind blowing so hard and the sand with it. Finally he stopped in front of a large cliff that Constance hadn’t seen and turned to her and began barking triumphantly at her.” I found it! I found it! Lets find the door and get out of the storm! Hurry up!”

“Good job Kero, “she acknowledged his good work while examining the cliff for the cave’s entrance. Constance walked toward the hot cliff and began examining it for something it seemed only she could see, despite the hard nipping of the wind against her face. The many rings on her fingers seemed to be glistening as she moved her fingers tips softly around the rocks. Finally as she placed her hands side by side in front of her face on the rocks, she began to push forward. Her rings practically blinded her as they found the door and used their powers to open it for her. She smiled a wickedly cocky smile as she opened the door and stepped inside out of the storm. Kero quickly followed her inside and shook himself furiously of all the dust his fur had collected.

Constance looked down and found a large stone and used it keep the door opened just enough so that it didn’t fully lock behind them when she closed it. She sighed and lifted the cover of her cape off her face and shook her head herself of all the dust she had collected. She brushed her light purple bangs out of her face, she flipped her blonde side hair behind her ears and gave a shake to her short brown hair to get whatever dust might be hiding back there. She adjusted her green eyes to the darkness of the room and smiled. This was her favorite part of the job, other then the reward at the end of course.

She looked down at Kero who had sat down and was looking at her waiting for her to move forward. “Well, you first since you seem to know where we’re going!” she said motioning for him to go forward. Kero looked forward, then looked back at her, with a confused look on his face. She motioned again in an inpatient manner for him to go and with a groan, Kero began to walk forward into the cave. “Good boy, “ Constance made sure to say with a small chuckle under her breath.

The cave wasn’t as bad as Constance had thought it was going to be. It was obviously dark and dusty with the usually musty cave smell, but other wise it was like a regular cave with the rocks, dust with a few small foliage here and there. They continued walking for about ten minutes before she began brushing aside some vines that were in her way, knowing that if vines were growing inside a cave like this then they must be on the right path. As she walked she heard a crunching under her boot and almost tripped over something. Kero stopped and turned around to see if she was OK while Constance examined the bone that she had crunched under her boot. “Ewe . . .” she pouted. “I hope it didn’t scratch my shoes, I like these shoes too. . .” not really concerned with the fact that she had just stepped on a once living creatures remains. She looked back at Kero and shrugged, “Then again, dead bodies means we are definitely getting closer right?”

Kero ignored the comment and continued to walk forward. Constance stepped over the rest of the remains and made a note to be more careful with what or whom she was stepping on as they continued down the cave. Ten more minutes later Kero stopped firmly in his tracks and made a growling noise under his breath to let Constance know he had picked up a trap ahead of them. She walked up next to him and stopped to examine the corridor in front of them. She looked around carefully with her skillful eyes, looking for anything that seemed out of place. The walls looked old with no real kind of detail about them and the ground continued to be dusty with no sign that any life had been here in a long time. There were no vines or any kind of plant like down the corridor and that to her was a sign that there was something wrong if there was nothing growing here. She looked up at the ceiling and that was still the same as it had been with the rest of the cave.

She did suddenly notice the large amounts of bone remnants on the left side of the wall where as the right side had little to none. She smiled to herself as she took a step to the left to get a better look at the right side of the wall. That too looked like all the other walls of the cave with no distinct characteristics or anything that would make it look like it had some sort of trap to it.

She leaned down without ever taking her eyes off the wall and picked up a small rock by her foot. As she got back up she tossed the rock a couple times in her hand with a playful manner still smiling to herself and enjoying the situation that would have made most normal people very nervous. She finally took the rock and without much effort tossed it out into the corridor. In a fast furry, the rock made it barely halfway before it was nailed with sharp, rusty and very big spikes that flew from all corners of the right wall. They were so powerful that they were actually able to use their force and nail the rock to the other side of the wall. Constance raised her eyebrows and whistled at the sight of a rock nailed to wall made of rocks. She looked at Kero and put her hands on her waist watching his reaction which of course was him just sitting there since he was the one that had pointed the trap out.

“Motion sensors, not bad. Surprised their still in tact really,” she finally said, as she looked over to the right wall again looking for the sensor itself. The wall still looked perfectly fine, no sign that deadly darts had just come out of it or that there was a high tech machine attached to it. “It must have a camouflage devise on it, surprised that’s still in tact too. My how far technology has come. . . . “

She turned around and walked a few steps back down the corridor they had just come from and picked up a large handful of more rocks in all different sizes. When she was satisfied with the amount she had she walked back to where Kero had decided to lay down and rest while waiting for her. She tossed a few rocks in one at a time; all of them of course had the same ending to them. However each one was thrown with different force, some thrown lightly and with little to no real length to them, while some were thrown hard and had the force to almost make it to the end of where Constance measured the end of the death trap. Twice she threw two to more rocks at a time into the corridor and both times had the same ending. Each rock was thrown and Constance paid extra attention to each one, measuring everything she saw in her head. Her hand was almost completely empty of rocks when she finally felt satisfied.

She looked at her hand and counted the rocks she had left and decided that just to be safe, she should probably have just a few more. She picked up a few by her feet and, just to be mean, made Kero get up from his rest and moved him over to pick up some under his feet. When her hand was full again, she took a deep breath and blew it all out in a few short breaths. She cracked her neck and stretched out her knees and finally took a gulp. Kero watched with amusement at his master stalling.

With a fast and graceful movement, she flung her empty hand in front of her and out of it came a stream of fire flew out of it as if by magic. On her hand a red ring glowed brightly in her face and she felt the heat on her hands as she maneuvered it with her will into the corridor. When she was satisfied she lowered her arm and she raised her other hand and threw the rocks in with a large stream of water following behind them, on her hand a blue ring glowed brightly in her face. As the elements met not only did they create a strong mist in front of her, but also with all of the action, it threw off the sensors. With lightning speed she threw her hand down and ran forward into the corridor behind the rocks and the thick mist that made it practically impossible to see. She heard the darts swishing in the air around her but continued to push herself forward without any thought of even trying to avoid being hit. At one point she felt a strong force on her cape pull her back practically ripping her it off her back and she almost tripped. But she regained her self and simply continued forward.

When she reached what looked like the end of the corridor she abruptly stopped and took a minute to breathe. She looked back down the corridor as the mist faded to see how bad the damage was. All the rocks that she had thrown in had been hit with darts and while some were clumsily nailed to the wall, some had actually managed to hit the floor with only a few scratches. She smiled at how superior she felt and began to dust herself off and noticed a dart still attached to her cape. She pulled it off and realized that it was the reason that she had been pulled back while she ran. She examined it in her hand and realized that it wasn’t as high tech as she expected. Just a regular old fashioned dart she had once read about that they used in the old days. She looked back at the wall and saw the sensor sitting on one of the rocks, the small red light giving itself away at this angle, and threw the dart at it with all her force.

The sensor broke easily and gave off a spark as its life ended. She noticed out of the corner of her eye that Kero still hadn’t moved from his spot. She grunted when she realized why he was still sitting there instead of running with her threw the trap. “Ok its safe for you now!” she screamed back at him sarcastically. With that Kero got up and trotted down the hall, not worried about being hit by any darts and when he got to Constance’s side he purred in appreciation.

“Your welcome.. . .”she groaned as she ripped off the rest of her cape deciding that it may not be safe to have the extra clothes on if the rest of the traps were going to be like that.

Kero took it as a sign to keep walking and with that he did with Constance this time keeping up at his side. As they walked farther down, the cave continued to stay the same as far as not having any defining characteristics to it. Constance noticed the plant life come back as they got farther away from the trap and the vines returned as well. The only real difference Constance felt was the change in temperature for it seemed to get colder the farther they walked. She began to regret leaving the cloak behind but felt that it was probably for the best safety wise. She took the hand that she had used to create fire and rubbed it on her other arm to warm herself up since her hand had the remnant heat of so much fire still left on it.

When she felt her arm get warm she moved her hand to her stomach since it had no protective clothing on it and was beginning to get a little shaky from the cold. She held it there for a moment while she walked and used the rest of the warmth left to calm her stomach. When she felt satisfied that it would be ok she took her hand off, brushing the dark purple rune on her stomach as a way of calming herself. She felt the heat from the rune and it comforted her as her stomach turned strong and had its armor strength run threw her. She brushed her long sleeveless coat back out of the way of a rock she almost walked into and instead it very gently hit her holster, holding her gun. She held her breath hoping that it didn’t trigger it on or anything and when nothing happened, she sighed and shook her head. She felt she was getting anxious in the cave and that was a bad sign when there was so much left to go.

A few minutes later Kero stopped abruptly again, this time in front of a large hole. Constance stopped as well and looked down into it with him. Expecting to see spikes or movement down there, Constance was pleasantly surprised to see nothing but an empty darkness and a cold breeze come from below. She realized that was the source of so much cold air in the cave. When she was satisfied with that she looked up and noticed nothing on the ceiling, she turned toward both walls and saw nothing out of place there either.

“Well, this should be easy, “ she chuckled, feeling calm. “But just in case,” she felt a little uneasy deep down though after how peaceful the other trap had looked. She took a rock from the ground and threw it over expecting to see it shatter into pieces once it was thrown over. Instead the rock flew over the pit and landed on the other side unscathed.

“Humph. Nice. “ she laughed. And looked at Kero who had sat down but seemed to refuse to take it as everything was ok. “Well?” she motioned. He didn’t move and gave her a look and under toned bark that said “you first Master”.

“Fine” she grunted.

She walked a few steps back to get a good running start and without any hesitation ran toward the whole with all her might and took a powerful jump forward. As her foot hit the ground just before she leapt in the air, she felt a clicking noise underneath her and the ground shrink under her foot as it left the ground. She realized in the air that she had tripped something off and ducked her head down as she heard the rumbling of spikes from above her came crashing down. She avoided them all just barely by only a few inches. She hit the other side hard and off balance from trying to avoid the spikes and as she rolled onto her back, she heard another trip go off and the ground below her began to give the same rumble. She rolled onto her stomach and looked up just as a spike came up and missed her face by less then an inch. She held her breath in shock and felt her eyes almost jump out of their sockets staring at the spike that just nearly ended her life. In her panic she rolled onto her feet, trying to get up and rolled to the side, missing another spike from below by only a few seconds. She slapped the ground in anger and got up fully and ran forward avoiding spikes at all turns, making her look like a clumsy ballerina the way she danced from side to side trying with everything she had not to fall. Before she realized it, she was face to face with a large wall. As she was about to fall into it for safety, she saw from the corner of her eye the motion sensor light go on. She immediately let herself fall into a full split and threw the rest of her upper body down avoiding the flying darts. They whizzed by her head and she felt the wind from them go by her as she covered her eyes in fear.

She waited a moment in silence trying to catch her breath and when nothing happened, she opened her right eye and looked around, expecting something else to happen. When nothing did, she opened her left eye and took a long breath out. She turned her head as slow as possible to the motion sensor on the wall and noticed that not only was it still on, but blinking a red light looking to see if anything had survived all that. Anger filled her very being as she looked at the machine and with lightning speed, pulled out her gun from its holster on her right hip and took a shot at it. As she did, she swung her legs out from their position in the split towards each other in a straight line. As her finger pulled the trigger, she fell back to the floor in a backward motion, making sure that she was completely flat on her back. The movements were picked up by the sensor just as it was blown into bits by the bullet and a few darts flew threw the air past Constance’s body, just missing her large breasts, as she hit the ground hard. The sensor blew up, this time with a bigger force then the first one and the force actually made it light itself on fire.

Constance watched and finally let out a huge sigh of relief. She felt her body unwind itself then begin to feel for any damage. When she felt nothing she put her gun back in its holster on her hip and when it was securely in there she began to get up. She sighed again as she dusted her clothes off and checked for any small scratches. She moved her long, black bladed sword around checking for any damage there and when everything looked fine; she sighed another big sigh again in relief. She looked at the wall she almost ran into and then looked back to see the damage. She scoffed when she realized that not only had all the spikes gone back down but that at the other side of the pit, Kero was still sitting there.

“You little son of a . . .” she yelled at him with anger.

Kero barked back at her as he got up and backed away from the pit. “Very funny. .” Constance groaned to herself wondering why she even bothered to let him come with her. He took a running start as well and when he jumped he made sure to avoid the trip as his wings spread out to help him glide over the pit with more agility and grace. He landed on the other side and trotted proudly toward Constance without any spikes coming up from below him. “What a show off “ Constance scoffed again

He stopped in front of her, looked up directly and barked again.

“Your welcome” Constance retorted throwing her hands in the air in a sarcastic manner. She looked at him for a moment, putting her hands on her hips and evaluated the situation. “So do you think that counted as 3 or 2?” she finally asked him.

Kero thought about the question and barked twice.

“Damn it” Constance groaned. She blew a breath of hot air out and sighed. This was becoming a pain and not fun for her anymore. Then she pointed forward and made an angry face at Kero and with an even angrier voice said “Well get going will yeah?!”

Kero put his ears back in a fearful manner and trotted toward the side of Constance in a hurry. Constance followed behind him a little upset that she had yelled at him but this was important and all the traps were beginning to get bothersome to her. As they walked, Constance noticed that the
cave was beginning to regain its warmth the farther they got from the pit.
,p>
Suddenly, there was a clicking noise as Kero stepped forward and he stopped dead in his tracks realizing that he had just tripped something. Constance stopped as well when she heard the noise of familiar rumbling above them. He froze in fear as Constance jumped forward grabbing her pet and rolling onto her back and away from the large stone wall that fell on top of where Kero had just been standing. She held him tight as she continued to roll forward and stopped just as another wall fell to the ground, inches from the couple. She could hear more walls falling in the distance, in case whoever set the trap had somehow managed to make it past the first two. She counted at least three more thuds in the distance and finally it stopped.

She looked at Kero who was shaking in her arms and clung to her tightly with his claws. Constance let him go and smiled. “Way to go Kero” she joked, “You found number 3, saves me the trouble.”

Kero opened his eyes and retracted his claws from Constance’s coat and body. He looked around at their surroundings and leapt off of Constance. She got up and dusted herself off making a mental note that she was going to need a really long bath after this. The two examined the area and found that they were trapped between the two rock walls with luckily, no motion sensors.
Constance put her hand to the wall in front of them and tried to get a good feel of it. It had no presence of power to it and appeared as an ordinary rock wall. Constance smiled wickedly and chuckled. She looked at Kero who was still obviously shaken by almost being flattened.

“This is an easy one honey. Just stand back a bit so you don’t get hurt” Constance said taking a step back herself.

She put her hands together and made some cracking noises with her fingers while twisting her wrists in a circular motion. The motion also caused cracking noises to echo in the air. But this made Constance feel much better. She reared back and with a powerful blow, punched the wall in
front of her causing it to break into an almost perfect exit. She felt the rocks fall on her hand as it went threw the wall but felt little to no pain as her fist connected with the rock. She paused a minute to make sure that the force wasn’t going to make the cave collapse. When nothing
happened, she put her hand down and walked threw the hole. She stepped into the next tight space between the two walls and did the same thing. She threw her fist back and with another powerful blow, punched a hole into that wall.

She did this non-stop two more times, never losing speed or power on the punches. Kero followed behind her slowly and cautiously threw the holes. He made sure to watch were he was stepping and avoided the fallen rubble created by his master. When she made a whole threw the last wall she stepped through and threw her arms back to stretch.

“See, that one wasn’t so bad!” she exclaimed. Kero stopped beside her and suddenly made a quick head jerk ahead of them. He sniffed the air for a moment and began barking excitedly again. Constance looked forward to see what Kero had found and smiled when she saw it was a door. This one not hidden by anything, but in fact, decorated from corner to corner with markings and jewels.

She took a few cautious steps forward and examined the door. No lock. Lucky her. She placed her hand on the cold doorknob and turned it slowly opening the door. As she opened it, the bright light from inside the room took her back as she had adjusted to the darkness of the cave. When she opened it fully, she walked in with Kero behind her, both in awe.

The room was filled with treasure. Gold, jewels, satin fabric, the whole works. There were a few lamps still with fire glowing in them, which made the room glow a golden color. Constance was more interested with the heat then the gold.

“Looks like we hit the Jackpot Kero” she said never looking at him. She examined the room and licked her lips. Kero sat down and looked around in awe as well, so many shinny things. Finally, Constance took a few steps forward into the room and began looking for something in particular.

She placed her pointer finger and her thumb on her earring and pressed against one of the jewels. “JC, can you hear me?” she said loudly.

There was a pause before a male voice answered her. “Yeah Constance, I can hear you.”

“We’re in.”she giggled.

“Good job, what’s it look like?” he asked curious.

“Shinny.”

“Remember, don’t touch it, the whole place is probably rigged. “ he warned.

“I know, I know,” she said sarcastically. “Besides, as much as I like shinny - ” she paused for a minute and smiled to herself. “And I do like shinny - there’s something much more valuable in here we’re looking for. Right Kero?” she turned back to her pet who was also examining the room. He perked his ears up and ran forward, dodging the piles of chests and rare treasures.

“Kero’s got a scent” Constance said and ran after him.

He only ran for a moment before coming to the end of the room in front of a large stone pillar. Constance stopped and looked at the table and finally felt overwhelmed with what she was looking at. “There it is.”

“You found it?!” JC said excitingly into her earpiece.

“Yup.” Constance sighed.

She walked toward the pillar, which was a bit over waist high and held a large book on it. Constance held her breath as she walked toward it. She felt both excited and nervous as she finally stopped in front of the book. It looked as though it had no sign of aging to it at all. It was thicker then she imagined and was being held up by a small tablet behind it. She put her hand to her mouth and let out a deep breath from her nose.

She whipped her mouth and then began to examine the pillar for traps. She studied it carefully, looking for anything that might trigger a trap. When she felt satisfied she knelt down slightly and very slowly began to reach for it. She stopped just as she was inches from touching it and for a
moment had second thoughts. She held her breath and clasped her hands into a tight fist.

“Fuck it” she finally said and grabbed the book. She waited for something to happen and when nothing did, she laughed at herself and began to walk away from the pillar. Kero waved his tail happily at her as she came over with the book in her hand and the two of them began to walk out of the cave.

“Did you get it?” JC asked cautiously.

“It’s in my hands as we speak!” Constance said proud of herself.

“Good cause you may want to get out of there now. “JC said sounding nervous.

“Why? Is the storm getting worse?”

“No, I just picked up a signal from another ship landing close by” he said now very nervous.

“How far are they?” Constance said putting the book in a safe place inside of her coat as she opened the jeweled door.

“About a mile from the cave” he said after a pause.

“So how long till they make it to cave?” she said stepping threw the holes she had punched with Kero trotting in front of her, eager then ever to get out of the cave.

“Ahh, about 10 minutes. . “

“WHAT?”Constance screamed and stopped as she was about to punch a hole in the wall that Kero had tripped, feeling stupid she didn’t punch it earlier. “And when the Hell were you planning on telling me this?”

“I’m sorry!” JC retorted. “I just picked them up a minute ago! They must have a jamming system on their ship. . “

“No, you have the best jamming system in the galaxy. I know, I stole it for you for your Birthday!” she said putting her anger into punching a large hole into the wall.

“Well, they must have gotten a better one from Santa” JC joked cautiously.

“Then remind me to convert when we get back to the ship” Constance sprinted threw the cave as fast as she could with Kero right behind her.

The jumped over the pit with ease and threw the corridors as fast as they could trying not to trip. They were also just hoping that when they reached the end no one would be there to meet them. Constance didn’t even care when she continually stepped on bones as she sprinted toward the exit. As they ran, Constance saw the light from the entrance and cautiously slowed down before she finally reached for the opening. She opened the door and peeked out. When she didn’t see anyone she stepped out of the cave with Kero practically tip toeing behind her.

The storm had ended so it was easy to see the world around them but it was hard adjusting to the bright light of the hot sun. The door behind them closed with a thud and both of them jumped forward in surprise. As they did, Constance heard shouting coming from her right and when she looked over she saw a group of men not far from her. They saw her as well and began running
toward her, and worse, pulling out weapons.

“Oh shit. . “

Kero bolted before she even started her sentence, and Constance followed behind him making a funny, frightened face. Kero ran with all his might not worrying about his master, while Constance ran not far behind him. Constance was well known for her speed and this was no exception. She felt the runes on her legs kick in and that gave more power to her legs as they sprinted with little effort threw the terrain. She heard the people behind her losing speed as she ran and had to turn back to see how far away the were. She was shocked to see that one of them, a figure in a black cloak, was close behind her. In fact, they were catching up.

Impossible! No one can catch up with me, no one’s that fast! she thought, panicked for a moment. With that thought, she turned back and used all her will to activate the runes on her legs to their full strength. She could feel herself almost flying with speed away from her chasers. She made
sure to run just slightly behind Kero, since she couldn’t remember where the ship had been parked.

Just as Kero was about to turn toward the left toward the ship, a huge blast flew in front of Constance. She barely jumped out of the way to avoid it. She landed hard on the ground and rolled away for a second from the impact, dust flying everywhere. She looked up at her pursuers
and realized that they were firing at her.

“Eep, “ she cried under her breath in a high pitched voice. She turned back to Kero, who had disappeared from her sight and realized that she herself should probably not stop either. She got up with full speed and force and began to run away from the ship, realizing that she really had no
idea how she was going to get back to it. She prayed under her breath to be able to think of something clever enough that would help her get back there.

Constance didn’t know the planet other than most of it was deserts and rocks, as was apparent as she ran faster and faster away. She could hear the blasts from their guns and a few of them even managed to get close to her. Without any hesitation, she pulled out her gun. Without stopping or even looking behind her, she settled her gun on her shoulder and took two shots.

She heard a moan and a thud behind her as she used her shoulder to cock her gun before she took two more shots. Another moan and another thudding noise followed them. As she was about to take another shot, she realized that she was running toward the edge of a cliff. She used all her effort to stop herself without slowing down and practically tripped off the cliff. She
stopped just in time to get a good look at the long way down to the bottom and panted frantically.

She heard her pursuers behind her also stop a few feet behind her, knowing that they were aiming their guns directly at her. This time, they wouldn’t miss.

Constance smiled and turned toward them, putting her gun back in its holster and held her hands up. “Well boys and girls, looks like you got me” she chuckled trying desperately to think of how the hell she was getting out of this one.

The gang of brutes that had chased her did not look the least bit interesting to Constance. They looked more like Guns for Hire then anything else. It made her wonder if the price of her head had gone up again. It seemed like she was constantly on and off the Most Wanted List. A figure stepped forward, the one in the black cape that had almost caught up with Constance. It was difficult for Constance to see the face, but the figure was obviously female. “Your coming with us Constance Starlavigne” the female figure sternly shouted.

“Captain! Captain Constance Starlavigne” Constance said pointing her finger at them. “Just to be proper!” she said trying to contain her laughter. Why she was having fun being cornered, she didn’t know. But it certainly made her feel better.

The female figure sighed in anger. “Fine. You’re coming with us Captain Constance Starlavigne” she said, making sure to put an emphasis on the word “Captain”.

Now Constance was laughing and she looked at her capture sternly in the face. Even though Constance couldn’t see her eyes, she new she was looking straight at them, and they were looking straight at her. “Sorry but, I would rather jump off a cliff.”

And with that, Constance took a step back and let herself fall backwards off the cliff making sure go give wave and a smile as she fell.

The men gasped with shock and some even took a step forward to see if she had actually gone down. The female simply stood there, the wind blowing on her cape until she finally decided to take a few steps toward the edge herself. Just as she was about to reach the edge a huge blast of wind from below blew her back, and in front of her hovered a huge gray dragon like creature. Its head was large and fox like and the ears were shaped like a jackrabbit, while the rest of its body was long and dragon like in every way except for the feather like wings. Riding between its long neck and its wings Constance sat there rather proud of herself. The men jumped back in shock and began pointing their weapons at the creature. Before they could take a shot the creature opened its mouth a string of purple lightning shot out at them. They managed to avoid it clumsily, and all of them cowardly ducked for cover. The female never moved a muscle.

The dragon creature made a few flaps with its wings and rose higher off the ground. He began to fly away from the group. Its speed was impressive for such a large creature, and its’ agility was amazingly accurate. As they flew toward the ship, Constance couldn’t help but look back at the Lead Female, and saw that she was looking back at Constance as well. Constance smiled wickedly and waved as she and Kero flew out of sight toward the ship.

The men got up as they watched them fly away. One man got up and headed toward his female leader. “Do you wish us to follow them?” he asked hoping that the answer would be no. Anara pulled her cape back, still watching Constance fly away in the distance. Her eyes adjusting to the bright light.

“No, not yet. We’ve got the tracker on them. That’s enough for now.,” she said sternly.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sorry it was so long but there was just SOO MUCH going on you know?!?!

Rune Pirate Love!

Oh my god. I totally suck ass for practically abandoning this poor journal! But I plan on making it up! I have pics and a BRAND NEW STORY!! Well, just the story for now. . .Pics when I have the time. . .

The story has like 15 chapters to it already so I'll post them one at a time since I'm still currently editing the shit out of them. I just wanted to get some opinions cause this story means alot to me and I really appreciate your opinions. I will also be posting the chapters in my memories if you miss a chapter. . or something.

Title: Rune Pirate: The Lost Pages
Author: Juui-chan
Rating: PG-13. . . .maybe
Disclaimer: I DO actually own these characters! All of them are in fact mine and will/are copyright Juui-chan!! Thats right folks, original characters!!
Notes: This whole story was based on a dream I had that I finally decided to write down and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it and the more notes I wrote on it before I just started writing the whole damn thing out.

It had taken hundreds of years for man to reach out all over the galaxy, that is, once they realized that Earth would no longer hold all their large numbers. So they expanded their territory, as man was known to do, and began taking over any planet that seemed inhabitable to them. Many alliances were made with planets and their population of strange alien life forms. But there were many wars as well that were made with planets and their population of strange alien life forms. But somehow, man survived as he always does. To the dismay of some.

Governments were made, technology expanded, new religions were born and the universe moved right along with all of them, as it always did. Humans somehow now added to the greater mix. However, man found that no matter what corner of the galaxy you run to, the past can run just as fast behind you. Many of the old ways began to take root again and expended to many other planets. Some of the old ways even merged with newer ways to become a thing of their own.

It was easy to come into power in space. No one lived in poverty; in fact it was practically unheard of. It seemed as though there was always some one becoming the next new rich face every week. Power and becoming a name was a consistency. That and longevity. Man learned how to cheat death and living to the age of 100 was no longer just a rare thing.

One thing that did not change was the law. It was enforced now more then ever with so many new lives entering into it. But with the law comes those who choose to defy it. Wither by an act of their own will, or by a victim of circumstances. Another thing that did not change was a fabled race of clans called “Pirates”. Now instead of wooden ships they were metal. Instead of a vast ocean of water, they had the vast ocean of space to roam.

While many pirates stole from others and took what was most available to them, others searched for the things that couldn’t be found. Lost treasures of favorite fairy tales. One of the most popular was a treasure called a “Rune”. People who searched the ocean of space looking for runes were known as “Rune Pirates.”

Runes had become a mass religion in the early stages of space’s growth. A single rune had the power to do whatever its master willed of it to do. There were many different runes for many different things from simple everyday jobs to the most amazing feats. They could be placed anywhere on the body or even in a single piece of jewelry and remained there until either the owner took them off or the owner died. It seemed that everyone in the galaxy had at least one rune to his or her name.

However, like everything in this universe, Runes have their limits. If they are used to frequently or they are over worked, they can become weak. Like a battery, they need to be charged, and so there came Rune Chargers. People who carried one rune on them that were used to recharge others runes. Unfortunately, there were very few of them left and they were usually high priced at that. Now, instead of placing their Runes on a simple part of their body, they were usually placed on a sexual part of their body.

It is rumored that there was even a form of “Dark Runes”, runes that had dark powers to them, used as curses on other people or used in malice. A high level “Rune Master” either created them, a person whose sole being in life is to create and tend to runes. Or they were runes who had left their master’s after death and had been forced to wander in grief. With their grief they became dark and easy pray for other evils. If the rune was not found and taken care of by a purification process or placed on a new owner, the rune would use its dark energy and form itself into a “Rune Ghost”. They were known to cause harm to anyone that they could find and many were rumored to have died or disappeared from them. If they became too powerful they had the power to become “Rune Shadows” and that made them even worse and even more dangerous. However, now “Dark Runes”, “Rune Shadows” and “Rune Ghosts” are nothing but legend and a scary bedtime story mother’s tell their children to get them to go to bed quicker.

But like so many things, the collecting of Rune’s suddenly stopped. . No one knew the reason why they were banned or why they had suddenly become so rare. Since then however, there have been many rumors and much speculation as to what really was the cause of their disappearance. But there are some that still hunt for them. There are even tournaments were the best come from all over the galaxy to show them off in competition.

Rune Pirates are rare, but the best are always remembered.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The room was darkly lit but its owner liked it that way. It helped him relax and that made it easier for him to think properly. These past thoughts were important in particular, as it was going to be the most important plan he had ever concocted. That gave him a sense of power and that, to him anyway, made him superior.

There were many relaxing things in the room, all odd in their own way; all had some important meaning to their owner. They were also extremely expensive and many of them had histories to them, many rather violent in how they were obtained. But that was how the universe worked now that humans had taken over.

The man sat back relaxed in his large, dark red cushioned chair. His legs crossed and his hands relaxing at his sides. He reached slowly for his decorative glass of alcohol sitting on a smal table next to him as he finished explaining his plan to the young woman across from him. She was absolutely stunning from head to toe, as most Henckels were known to be. Her straight, raven black hair hung down to her shoulder blades as was their tradition, not hiding the dark green spots on the temples of her face or on the sides of her neck. Her long, matching green pointed ears stuck out from beneath her hair. Her piercing dark blue eyes stared straightforward at her Master while her plump lips awaited to acknowledge that she understood his commands. Her long and obviously powerful legs stood stern in their black heels matching the rest of her tight black outfit.

Her Master took a small sip of his drink and held the glass to his chest watching the bubbles do their dance in the liquid. “So you understand why you can not fail this plan?” he asked calmly.
,p>
“I understand Master” the Henckle replied with no emotion.

“This is a plan that we’ve been working on for longer then you’ve been born and despite your Henckle longevity, that is a very long time for us to wait till now to put it in motion.” he paused and finally looked at her. “I trust you to be able to do your part in our plan and to know the clique of what will happen if you fail.”

“I understand that as well Master” she replied, this time sternly and with the smallest hint of nervousness. Although Heckles were not known for having much of a sense of humor, she understood the jest of the joke.

“Good,” he took another sip of his drink, this time engulfing the entire contents.

Suddenly the door behind him opened with a mechanical whooshing noise and a young man in an obviously official outfit came in quickly. Despite his excitement he came in cautiously “Sir, we’ve located her ship, do you wish us to proceed after her?”

“No, prepare a ship for Anara and a few men. Tell the men that if they are even a minute late for the rendezvous they will be shot. She will be in charge from then on, understand?” he said never leaving eye contact with Anara and her with him.

“Yes Sir,” the man replied and gave a small bow before he practically fled the room.

The man smiled to himself as he put the glass down, “Now the fun finally begins.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Dah, that was the worst chapter to write was the first one. Thank god I did it and its over. . .

I've been buisy . . . . .

Oh. My. God. I know no one is reading this but I want you to know that I have been writing! And you lucky people actually get to see what I've been working on. Well, mostly Lydia cause I know she wanted to see what I was working on and I feel like I need someone to cretiqe it. . .

Kiera awoke from her nap suddenly due to the turbulence of her plane. She hadn’t intended to sleep, she wasn’t even tired so it came as an even bigger shock when she looked at her watch and found she had actually slept for 3 hours. She looked around to confirm her surroundings and try to see if anyone had been watching her, slightly paranoid of her status. Old habit she had developed in California when she had a career, she realized she would have to loose the habit now.

She brushed her red hair back, figuring that even though it was short, it was probably a mess. She rubbed the sleep from her dark green eyes and stretched her jaw, hoping to get the comfort of a yawn but to no avail. She leaned into her chair and arched her back, hoping for the sound of a pop or at least the feeling of her muscles unhinging themselves.

Kiera had hurt her back when she was young, she had fallen off a ladder at 6 years old, trying to hang a light in her parents office. She wasn’t old enough to officially do it by herself but at that age, you always want to prove to your parents that you are capable of more then they think. Unfortunately for Kiera, her parents had been right and she had lost balance on the ladder. It was a good thing her brother hadn’t left to go see his friends or no one would have know she was there. She suffered slight injury but had to go to physical therapy for a few months to make sure there was no real damage and to help the pain. Ever since she had been extra careful when it came to her back, neck and shoulders.

She was in relatively good shape. A good size girl, not Hippopotamus fat and not twig skinny but right in the middle which was considered healthy for a girl of 29. Her breasts where what killed her though, they were big. They were usually the cause of her back aches. She hated listening to younger girls moaning about how small their breasts where and how they wished they could be bigger. There was nothing wonderful about them other then that was what the men would use to make a first impression when meeting them and not their actual personality. That and they killed her back, it was very uncomfortable to sleep on her stomach and she always floated when she went swimming. She was relatively good looking too, with or without makeup. Although right now she was feeling less then Barbara Streisand gorgeous in her jeans, baggy shirt and Pirate bandana that she was quickly putting back in her hair to hide the mess still hopping that no one had noticed her presence.

The flight back home was practically dead, it consisted of herself, three stewardess’s and a few other random people sitting silently, minding their own business’s. She decided she didn’t need first class tickets although now seeing how uncomfortable her seat was, perhaps she should have. She had closed the window next to her, no particular reason other then she wanted her privacy from the world around her. It was the hardest decision in the world to leave California, she had lived there for a little over 10 years, made a career and a life. Yet a part of her knew that she needed to leave that life, not by choice of course. She sighed as she started thinking about her past, it always came back to that somehow. Maybe that was why she had fallen asleep, she was tired of her past. It was ironic really, how the one place she had sworn never to come back to, was now the one place she could go. No matter how far you try to run from your past, it always seemed to come back to you. Or you found that you seemed to go back to it. A small smile appeared on her face as she thought of the irony of it, she would definatly remember it as irony.

The Captain’s voice came on the intercom, the usual Chuck Yager sounding “Ladies and Gentlemen we are now about to land at Bradley Airport. . .”. With it came the lights above Kiera’s head telling her to stop smoking and put on her seatbelt, which to her surprise she found was still on. She sighed again to herself, figures she wouldn’t even take her seat belt off to get comfortable. Her mind wandered away all the time and something even that simple as unbuckeling herself hadn’t even come to mind.

The landing was smooth, at least as smooth as a plane landing from thousands of feet in the air at a high speed could be. Kiera waited until everyone had left the plane before finally unbuckling her seat and standing up. The numbness in her butt was terrible and the tingling in her legs made it even harder for her to balance herself as she opened the over head compartment for her bags. She realized maybe she should have gotten up at least once, if not to go to the bathroom but to just make sure her legs could still circulate. Kiera hated to travel, worse long distances but even worse then that: alone. She slung her bags around her shoulder and walked clumsily toward the exit where three smiling stewardess where waiting to bid her farewell. She smiled and nodded to them as she left politely, still trying to control what little feeling was slowly coming back to her legs.

She walked down the long corridor, alone and with a slowness in her step. The realization that she was back in her home state was finally hitting her and the sound of her heart began to pound in her head rather loudly. But she somehow found the strength to continue forward and could begin to hear the noises of a busy airport just outside.

She paused when she finally exited the hallway and began to look around for a familiar face. She grunted when she didn’t see anyone. Figures the moron would be late or forget. Jerkoff. She thought to herself as she continued onward toward the luggage claim.

Suddenly she heard a loud noise coming from the corner of the terminal and jumped in surprise as she turned to see what it was, obviously thinking the worse. “YO KIERA CASH ” the rugged male voice called. She looked to see a young man in his mid 20's with short black hair spiked up in a stylish manner. His brown eyes glowing with excitement and his genuine smile covering his handsome face with a hint of stubble growing from his cheeks. He walked over to her in a pair of baggy jeans and a tight black t-shirt with the words Johnny Cash written across the chest in a gorgeous cursive lettering. Brett always did have the weirdest, yet coolest shirts.

She smiled and laughed as Brett came toward her and she began dropping the bags from her shoulders for. He also began to laugh as he gave her a huge bear hug and kissed her over dramatically on the cheek. In his excitement he even picked her up off the ground to get a bigger hug our of her

“Hey there Shorty,” he chuckled finally releasing her and getting a good look. She wasn’t that short compared to him but she figured it was a boost in his masculinity so she let it slide. That and she was the younger of the two so it only fair that he use some kind of term to remind her in a suttle way.

“What’s up you bitch?” she chuckled giving him a small punch on the arm. “You scared the crap out of me there.”

“Sorry, I just wanted to get your attention ”he laughed massaging the punched part of his arm. She looked down and noticed for the first time the large piece of construction paper he was holding in his other hand. “I was going to use this but I thought it would bring too much attention” he giggled meniacly, noticing she was looking at her sign and decided to hold it up for her. It was a poorly colored lettering of the words: Kiera Cash in bold letters with little hearts and stars around them.

“Nice, if your 3 years old” Kiera giggled. The name Kiera Cash was a nickname that only Brett used. It was because Kiera loved Johnny Cash and the two of them used to joke that if she had been older and he hadn’t married June Carter then Kiera would have made the best wife for him. Not that she had anything against June, infact she enjoyed her as much as she enjoyed her husband.

“Well, “ he shrugged. “I at least can spell better.”

“Touche.” she said grabbing her bags but Brett was quick enough to grab at least one of the two away from her and the two of them began walking toward the luggage pickup.

“Now now, let me get that. You’ve had a long trip and celebrities shouldn’t have to carry their own bags.’

Kiera lost her smile instantly and grunted, looking away from her brother in almost disgust. “I’m not a celebrity anymore.”

Brett realized the mistake and immediately tried to change the subject. “Sorry, did you sleep on the plane?”

“No, not really “ she lied.

“You hungry? Wanna stop somewhere and grab something to eat?” he said once again sounding genuine in his concern for his little sister.”My treat” he added trying to sugar it up, despite the fact that he forgot that he didn’t have much money on him. Like Kiera, his mind tended to wander and forget the important, yet little things.

“Not really. I just kinda want to get home.” she paused for a minute and began to chuckle to herself.

“What’s so funny?” he turned to her as they waked on the escalator, her a step lower then him.

“Nothing. I just never thought I’d say that again.” she began to remember the thought about irony she had on the plane.

“Tell me about it. “Brett chuckled to himself. The two were quiet the rest of the time on the escalator and down at the luggage pickup. Brett grabbed what luggage she had managed to take with her on the plane and in utter amusment to himself and Kiera, Brett tried to carry it all by himself to his car. It came as no surprise to either of them when he ended up tripping over her largest piece about half way to the car. The gesture was suttle, but it made its point to Kiera: her brother cared. And that was enough for her.

His car was a huge silver Silverado Truck with room for 5 and had its own set of slight dents and mud all over the tires. She stopped just as they reached it and gave Brett a funny look. “Jeez, your truck looks like you” she commented.

“What do you mean?” he said practically throwing her luggage in the back seats.

“It looks like shit.” she said sarcastically finally getting opening the passenger side door and getting in.

Brett laughed and got in himself. “Your free to walk back home you know.”

The drive back to their house was the worse part for Kiera. Seeing all the scenery of home kept making her mind wander back to her childhood. It reminded her of how much she wanted to leave, the day she left and made the promise never to come back. She had kept it too which surprised even Brett. If he wanted to see her, he was the one who would have to make the plane rides to see her. All of which she was more then willing to pay for to see her only family member. The weather outside was gorgeous too, the sun was at its peek and the light was just right across the road.

The first 10 minutes of the trip was quiet between them again. More of an akwardness then before when it was just that Kiera was pissed off. Brett kept looking from the road over to his sister worried and hopping that she would snap out of it. He tried to think of something to say that wouldn’t offend her but he was just so glad to see her that it was difficult to come up with a legitimate conversation.

“So most of your stuff made it to the house,” he finally said, tired of the silence.

“And how much of it have you broken?” she chuckled turning to him.

“None.” He paused for a moment to think about it. “I don’t think. Not yet anyway.”

“That’s comforting.” Kiera sighed. Brett was a bigger clutz then she was.

“Well, I just kinda moved it into your room and haven’t touched it. I didn’t think you would be staying that long.”

“What?” she asked giving him a puzzled look. When she had called and told him that she was moving back she assumed that he understood she was moving back in with him.

“Well, I figured you would be getting a house for yourself or move again once the tabloids calmed down.” Brett said trying quickly to clam down what he could see was going to be another argument. He realized that he had said the dreaded “T” word and that might make things more difficult, especially to calm Kiera down.

Kiera sighed. “No, I thought I made it clear that I was moving back in with you in our parents house and since you live alone it wouldn’t matter.” she said with the utmost seriousness.

“I’m sorry, I guess I misunderstood you then.” he tried to turn his attention back to the road. “I just figured since you liked your privacy you would want to live alone and not with your brother hanging around.”

“Who said I wouldn’t want you around?” Kiera asked, her voice drastically changed from upset to concern. Brett shrugged, a little bit surprised by the question. “Besides, you need someone to take care of you since your girlfriends probably don’t.”

“I prefer to call them “Members of the Opposite Sex with Special Needs” thank you. I love my bachelor life if you must pry. “He practically purred.

“Stud.”Kiera joked.”Or should I call you a Pig?”

“Which ever, I wouldn’t have it any other way.” he laughed. “Although it would be nice to have a little bit of a woman’s touch back into the house since I’m a man and being one I’m a complete slob.” he joked yet Kiera thought she sensed a bit of truth in there.

“Its that bad hu?”

“Its seen better days”Brett paused and gave Kiera a comical grin. Kiera groaned and turned back toward her window. She was beginning to notice more and more familiar things as they approached her home town.

“Ah but don’t worry about it now, you have plenty of time now that your home to deal with house work. Right now, lets talk about tonight ” Brett practically jumped out of his chair at the last sentence.

Kiera turned to him, the thought of what he had planned for him was somehow more nerve racking to her then the thought of what the present state of their house was going to look like. “And what am I doing tonight?” she said figuring it was better then giving some dumb excuse that she just wanted to go to bed and sleep when in truth she wasn’t even tired.

“Well, I thought it would be nice if we had a little welcoming home party.” Brett said a tad bit reluctant of her reaction.

“You want to take me to a bar and get drunk don’t you?”

“Pretty much” Brett gave another meniacle smile. They weren’t brother and sister for nothing.
“You know I don’t really like that stuff. Besides I told you not to tell anyone I was coming back.”She began to get upset again.

“I didn’t tell anyone ” he said immediately getting defensive but with a childish guilt in his voice.

“You did too Who did you tell? ?” She said ready to beat the crap out of him despite that one small error and he could have them ram into a pole where it would end it for both of them.

“Just one or two old friends of ours”Brett again said reluctantly.

Kiera groaned and put her hand up to her face. She took her fingers and began mesaging the spot on her nose between her eyebrows feeling one of her bad headaches coming on. The thought of seeing anyone was something she just wasn’t ready to face yet let alone people that she knew. That was going to be the hardest part about coming back, people. What would they say about her? Worse, what would they say TO her? How were they going to react with her back and living amoung them. She was ready for the people that would worship the ground she walked on, she had getten used to them once again in California. But this wasn’t California, this was Connecticut and they were a bit less leniante about Kiera’s lifestyle and past.

“It’ll be fine. Remember, alcohol makes everything O.K. again.” He said trying to calm here down.

“Unless your Courtney Love” Kiera groaned sarcastically.

“And look what its done to her career” Brett laughed. Kiera hesitantly joined in. She turned back to the window and the world she could see beyond it.

As the two of them drove on they talked about the changes in the town. How when they were young there was this store and the memories with it but it was gone now and replaced with some big retail store that no one wanted but it still got built there anyway. It was kinda sad not knowing what had happend to her town all these years, more not bothering to ask. Brett was a good story teller and gave her all the vital information on the town’s history in the past 10 years that she had been gone. When they finally pulled into the driveway of their house, Kiera felt like she had enough information that she had actually been there to witness it and hadn’t even left. The real feeling of De ja Vu was when Brett pulled into the driveway and seeing how the house hadn’t changed at all since she left.

She pause in amazement of the house she had been born in for what seemed like forever. She could practically see smaller versions of herself and Brett playing in the front yard, her mom in the kitchen with the window open to watch them while she cooked dinner for the night. Kiera even thought she could smell the turkey coming from the kitchen for a brief moment. She saw her dad coming from the garage after fixing with something for the office and begin chasing Kiera and Brett around the house pretending to be some evil Tickle Monster. I’m really here. I’m really home.

“Hey, you coming or not?” Brett screamed slamming the back door of his truck trying to lug her luggage out toward the house. She jumped in surprise and realized she had been swimming in a memory without her life jacket on and ended up drowning in it. She grabbed what bags were left over and hurried after Brett. She noticed the spare car in the driveway and tried to make a connection as to who’s it could be. When she failed, not to her surprise since she hadn’t really tried, she turned to Brett who was fumbling with his keys without dropping her luggage again.

“Who’s car? One of your Friends with Benifits?’ she joked.

“Nah, a buddy of mine at work is letting me loan it for, “ he paused as he finally found the key he was looking for and gave a cheer. “And I didn’t even have to give him a blow job or anything ”

“Why? What do you need it for?” she asked really curious now ignoring the joke.. Brett wasn’t into tinkering with cars so he couldn’t be fixing it up.

“Its for you really. So if you want to go out you can without having to borrow my truck” he jumbled the door, the keys and the luggage comically as he answered. “At least until you get your own car.”

“Thanks” she said surprised. She hadn’t even thought about transportation, she was more concerned about just getting in the house at this point.

“Don’t thank me just yet” Brett turned to her nervous again as he entered the house with Kiera following behind him.

As she walked in, she had to adjust her eyes as it was now much darker inside then out. Not only that but the house had a moldy smell coming from it that Kiera found almost made her gag. There was trash, silverware and junk everywhere. Not a space could be found that gave of even a hint that this was a place a person could actually live in. She had to practically jump over what she thought might have been furniture to get by. It reminded her of those cartoon kids who had those ridiculously dirty rooms that sooner or later their parents would make them clean and the rest of the episode delt with them cleaning it and learning a valuable lesson in cleanliness. However, judging by the state of the house, she guessed that Brett had missed that episode.

They trudged down the hall and into a familiar part of the house that used to be her room. Brett opened the door and stood aside, letting Kiera go first. She was reluctant to go in for fear of what was awaiting her. “Ladies first” Brett nudged.

“Then why aren’t you going?” Kiera asked with sarcasm.

Brett grunted but refused to move. She groaned and walked into the room to her utter shock was not what she expected. The room was relatively clean, minus the boxes that had been moved in which was probably a safe move on Brett’s part. The original furniture that she had left was still there minus her bed which had been replaced with a futon couch bed now covered with what was probably the cleanest sheets in the house.
“Wow Brett, I’m impressed you managed to keep at least one room clean” she said as she entered the room studying every detail of it. The feeling of Dejavu hit her again as she examined the small girlish trinkets laying around on her dressers. All the days and nights she had spent locked up in here playing with them, dreaming away the future and taking it out on her toys.

“Well, I try. “Brett said bashfully as he followed her in and placed her bags in the corner. He looked up and watched his sister examine the room with curiosity. She sat down on the futon and tested its comfort before laying on it completely. “The rest of the boxes will probably be here tomorrow and or arrive the rest of the week.” Brett finished as he sat next to her in what little space she had left at the edge.

“I don’t think there are many left,”she said counting the boxes in the room.

“Good, I don’t want the house filled with a lot of Girly crap. It ruins my manly image.” Brett joked as he lay down on top of Kiera comically. Kiera laughed and punched him back up, sitting up herself and leaning her head on his shoulder.

There was a pause between them before Brett finally broke the silence and turned his head slightly toward her. “So, are you glad to be home?’ he asked honestly.

Kiera thought about it for a minute and looked at him. “I don’t know, I’ve only been here what? 3 hours?” she looked at her wrist watch.

“Well, lets see if we can’t change that, “Brett got up slapping her playfully on her knee. “We’re going out so get yourself dolled up ”

Kiera sighed, the thought of going out still wasn’t too appealing to her after the first time the subject was brought to her. “Oh come on Brett, I really don’t,”

She was cut short by Brett’s finger pushing itself against her lips to stop her from continuing. Her eyebrows widened and she gave Brett a surprised look. “I don’t care what you want, I’m going to give you what you need and you need to get your ass out of this mopey state and get piss ass drunk ”

He took his finger off her lips and began walking out the room. Before Kiera could comment back, Brett closed the door and without even looking at Kiera screamed, “We’re leaving in an hour an a half so you better be ready ” And with that, she heard him walk down that hall into his own room.

Kiera sighed and looked around her now lonely room. She could feel that she had a lot of work to do when it came to rebuilding not only this house, but her life. As she was thinking this she noticed the box by her feet that didn’t help the situation. She picked up the box and began ripping the wrapping tape off it with a slow yet furious pace. When she had finally pulled the tape off enough to open the box she paused for a moment and took a deep breath. She opened it and began scrounging inside at all the articles and pictures inside of herself and her life in California.
Kiera had moved to California 10 years ago to make it big. Make it big doing anything. Writing, acting, singing, all of the above. She eventually got herself a manager and after a few commercials had landed it big as the “best friend” in a teenage coming of age movie. The movie did O.K. at the box office but Kiera had stolen the spotlight. Afterwards it was easy for her to do anything that she wanted. Her face was on magazine covers everywhere and she had saved everyone of them. Including all the ones about who she was dating which most although most of them were false, she found them terribly amusing, although now that she was reading them she was finding them less humorous. She was able to try her hand in all the entertainment feilds and to many’s surprise had done a very decent job in them. She had written and directed her own movie, she had written an music album and sang in it and the album had done pretty well in its sales. She had even dabbled briefly in photagraphy and some art and although it was well done, wasn’t that popular only cause she had asked that it wasn’t publicized too much. The last 10 years had been very benificial to her and had been a dream come true for her in every way.

Last month however was when it finally ended. She had been dating this actor for 4 months, a real up and comer teen idol. There had been rumurs since the relationship had started about him only dating her for her fame and that she was really a closet Lesbian and she was dating him to hide that. Truth was, all of which were true. She openly came out saying that she was Bi-sexual and the press didn’t care but her boyfriend at the time was less then happy. Kiera had wanted to continue the relationship saying that she had cared about him but he didn’t buy it and went off to have an affair with her manager. To make the scandal worse, she had caught them in the act not but a month after he had propsed to her for more publicity. In an attempt to save his image, he came to her house, drunk, to apologize. It ended up with Kiera going to the hospital with bruises and a broken wrist and him going to jail for abuse .

The scandal ended up making her ex-fiancé look like a jerk and has yet to get another movie role. Kiera on the other hand simply went into a mental spiral downward despite all the support from fans and what was left of her friends after finding out that all of them had known about her ex-fiance’s true intentions and had somehow neglected to tell her. Despite the encouraging words and the support she found that there was no life left for her in California. She felt she had done everything she could career wise and needed a change. That change was coming home. What she was going to do here, she didn’t know but somehow she felt this was the place to start over.

She sighed to herself before finally putting the box down and throwing the papers back inside rather uncaringly. She realized the room had gotten darker and looked at her watch. She had been staring at her old memories for 45 minutes without even realizing it. She looked around for a box that had clothing in it and another one that had all of her toiletries in it and began ripping them open trying to find something to wear. She found it kind of funny that even though she didn’t want to go, she cared an offal lot about how she looked. Another bad habit from being a celebrity, always looking good when you go out, even if its to buy groceries. She finally pulled out a nice shirt, a decent pair of jeans and the rest of her toiletries and within a few minutes was ready to go. I guess its not so bad, I got ready faster then I thought. I’ll need that with Brett, fucker is late for everything.

It was true in this case. Brett didn’t knock on her door again until half an hour after he said he was going to come by and get her. When he knocked on the door he looked tired and rushed. He had apparently taken a nap and forgotten the time. Were as Kiera had gotten ready and then taken a nap so that she could be ready when he finally came to the door. Kiera chuckled as they walked out the house and got into the truck.

“So where exactly are we going?” Kiera asked skeptical as they drove onto the intersection.

“Oh just a little place called The Stonewells.” Brett smiled. He turned over expecting to see the same smile on her face but instead got one of her famous disapproving glares.

“Why are we going there of all the places to go?”

“Because, “ Brett paused to think of a legitimate reason. “Of all the memories,” he said skeptically.

“Let me out.” Kiera responded.

“Were in the middle of the highway you can’t get out.”

“Then I’ll jump out.”Kiera said beginning to reach for the door.

“Oh come one, its not going to be that bad, I promise ” Brett said trying to sound convincing even to himself.

Kiera sighed and sat back down in her seat. This is going to be interesting. She watched what was left of the sunsets rainbow colors fade off into the distance as Brett drove. Before she realized it, they were pulling into the parking lot of a quaint little restaurant and bar. The restaurant had become quite famous after Kiera had left because in her younger days she frequently went there on Saturday nights when they had Karaoke nights. Later on, she and some friends had created a band and the manager, being a fan of Kiera’s, had let them play a few times. The band did O.K. but Kiera felt that it wasn’t really her thing.

There were a lot more cars at the Restaurant then Kiera thought there was going to be and her heart began to pound faster as her nerves set in. When Brett had said he told a few people she was coming back, did he mean the whole town? Either way she was looking forward to this less and less as she sat in the car not wanting to get out. She looked over at Brett who was surprisingly still there, waiting for her to make the first move out of the car.

Truth is, I think I'm going to rename the main character. I'm not good with names and I couldn't think of one for her at the time and I think that King Arthur was on which was the only reason that the main character got that name. There will be a character later on though that I'm probably going to base off the real Kiera.

Leave Me Lying Here Alternate Ending

Ok, so, I wrote this for Lydia cause1) I love this story! 2) I dreamt about it and 3) because I missed Lydia when she was away that this was the only way for me to feel better...that and I just felt like it! For those of you that don't know, Lydia has a story called Leave Me Lying Here which is SO fantasticly written about a modern day Will Turner and Jack Sparrow and its just so much fun to read and I adore it with all my heart! If you haven't read it you should! Just go here: http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=night_writes&keyword=Leave+Me+Lying+Here&filter=all and read read read! She is so wonderful too, she even made a cover art for it! So without further adu:

Leave Me Lying Here: Alternate Ending
Written by Juui-chan with bits & bobs by Lydia-sama.

Starring:

Jack Sparrow,
William Turner,
Juui-chan,
Lydia,
& Billeh!

Special Guest Appearances by:

Willy Wonka & the Oompa-Loompas,
Barbossa,
& Bosun!
*hisses at the baddies*

Lydia’s Notes: This is something my bestest buddy Juui-chan wrote for me after the last chapter, but I couldn’t’ use it since I already have a picture of how I want the story to go. However, it’s too precious to waste so I give it to you all, my wonderful supportive readers as sort of an extra on a DVD or something… enjoy! I wrote the love scene as that’s something she’s still not comfortable writing. (I’m working on her, I’ll get her!)

Feedback is most welcome as always. ^_^

Will had just thrown in the last of his underwear and felt a sense of release spread over him as he zipped up his bag. He threw the bag over his shoulder, his mind racing with his escape plan when he jumped in surprise from the main doorbell ringing. It was now panic that swept over his entire being. He couldn’t move, he could barely breathe. Had Avery come already? He had to leave, but he also had to know whom it was. If it wasn’t Avery, he could escape calmer and more carefully then in the hurried panic of trying not to see his rapist again.

He found the strength to walk to the door, his right hand sweaty and clutching his bag. He leaned his ear in close enough to hear, but far enough in case he had to make a run for it. To his surprise, and relief, he heard a familiar woman’s voice greet his father and sighed. He tried to listen more closely to identify the woman, secretly hoping it wasn’t Lizzie although he knew she had more sense then to come home at a time like this. He tried to hear what they were talking about but to no avail.

His body froze solid again, as it seemed like forever that he listened to her talk and then her footsteps move up the stairs. There was a pause and he held his breath again as he then heard the sounds of Barbossa and the woman talking on the stairs. Rage filled his every being with every word Barbossa spoke. The temptation to run out the door and beat the man till he was dead with his bag twinged in the back of his neck. He realized his mind had wandered too far as he jumped in surprise at the sound of knocking on his door. He threw the bag across the room and ran for his bed as the door opened and a pretty young woman with red hair and green eyes entered, shouting angrily at Bosun.

“Honesty! You people all act like he’s a Prisoner or something!” she yelled. Bosun just snorted and rolled his eyes.

Will looked up and couldn’t help but smile when he realized whom it was. He found himself practically running to her for a hug. It was truly the first, warm, caring and non-judgmental person he had seen since he first arrived home.

“William, my sweetie!” cried the girl as she was practically taken back from the force of his hug. Her warmth engulfed Will and he could already feel the tears beginning to well up in his eyes.

“Oh baby, I’m so glad you’re safe. I’ve been worried sick about you!” she whispered and began crying into his shoulder. She kissed him gently on his cheek in a motherly way.

“I’m sorry….” He whispered now really crying.

She pulled herself away and put her hands gently, but firmly on his face. “Oh Will, you have no reason to be sorry. This is not your fault, and don’t let anyone tell you differently. Got it?!” Will nodded his head in agreement and tried to smile. Finally, the thing he needed to hear: kind words. From someone who actually understood what he was going through—someone who actually cared about his feelings.

She turned to Bosun now completely stone faced. “Do you mind? We’d like a little privacy.”

“It’s my job to watch him… Miss…” he said disrespectfully.

“Well, not while I’m here! (1) So why don’t you make like a tree, and get the fuck out of here!” she said sarcastically pointing to the door. He grunted and gave her the dirtiest and most fiery glare of hatred Will had ever seen. He then slammed the door behind him knocking down almost everything on Will’s walls. The young woman turned to Will, completely unfazed by the clear death threat (which had even given Will a cold shiver) and began examining his face gently with her fingers.

“Oh sweetie, what did they do to you?” she said, once again sounding motherly.

“IT WASN’T JACK! IT WAS THEM! PLEASE JULZ YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!!” Will screamed. He found himself on the verge of tears. If anyone would not only listen to his story and believe it, it was her.

Julz smiled and sighed. “I know, I believe you.” She said reassuringly.

“You do?” even though it wasn’t really that much of a surprise.

“Of course! (2)I know everything remember!” she said chipper as ever as she lead him to the bed and sat down. She placed his hand on her lap and continued to smile.

“But, how could you. . . .”Will began confused.

“Because we’ve been trying to help your father find you and Liz since you both disappeared. However, when I heard some not very appropriate things slip out of your ‘beloved’ father’s mouth and the fact that he was barely using any of our resources we..” She paused for a minute to think before continuing on. “I realized that something was wrong!” She paused again trying to jumble her thoughts together.

“That and Barbossa’s here which is a big Red Flag that something is not right around here….Slime ball” she muttered under her breath surprisingly still smiling.

“You….you don’t know,” he paused to sniffle, “wh-what I’ve b-been through” Will sobbed. “You…don’t kn-kn…know what they…p-p-put meee threw!”

Julz grabbed Will’s head and placed it on her shoulder, hugging him for comfort. “I HAVE TO GET OUR OF HERE!” He finally cried. It all came flooding out, all the built up rage and sadness was washing out of him.

“Shhhh, shhhhh. I know. I know, that’s why I’m here.”

“You are?” Will asked taking his head away to look at her.

“OF COURSE! You don’t think I would possibly let you stay here now do you?!”

“But how?”

“Well, you seemed to have a good start,” she said motioning to the bag Will had thrown across the room which was now laying not very discreetly on its side. “My car is parked by your window and my limo driver is waiting for you there. Grab your stuff, go out your window, do whatever (3) James Bond shit you got to do and wait for me in the car. I will then take you to your precious Jack.”

“Wait, how do you know about Jack?” the thought finally dawning on him.

“Well, I have these friends of mine who had been calling me recently practically screaming in my ear about these two guys they had met and how I simply had to meet them. Then just this morning as I was leaving to come see you they called saying they had found him piss drunk and crying like a (4) cry baby about his lover being gone!” Will’s entire being began to light up as he listened to Julz’s story.

“So I said to bring him over to the back of Willy’s factory and I would take care of delivering his precious little chocolate bar,” Julz chuckled as she tapped the jewels on Wills hair jokingly. Will’s body jumped into her, hugging her tightly. She was an Angel—a blessing to him right now.

“Alright, alright. We don’t have much time so grab your shit and let’s go!”

“But they’ll hear me!” Will said as he grabbed his bag and once again threw it over his shoulder.

Once again, already ahead of you!” she pulled out a (5) small black tape recorder from her pocket. She clicked a button and moved another up with her thumb. “If they can hear you in here talking to me, then there’s no problem now is there.” She smiled deviously.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

It was much easier than Will thought being able to get down to Julz’s limo. Although at one point he thought that the drainpipe he was clinging to was going to break loose from all his weight like in one of those (6) old 80’s comedy movies. He looked up a couple times to see Julz watching him confidently, waiting for her signal to leave his house, pretending that Will was still in the room. When he got down, he gave her a quick thumb’s up and ran for her car. She gave him a thumb’s up as well and closed the window behind her.

She paused in his room to take a deep breath and get into “Oscar Winning Acting Mode”, as she comically called it, and opened the door to leave Will’s room. Bosun was, of course waiting there, off to the side. They gave each other a dirty look before Julz walked down the stairs to the front entrance. She paused by Governor Swan’s study to say a polite “Goodbye” even though the tone in her voice suggested she would have rather of said “FUCK YOU!” to him. She turned to leave and paused to look back up at Bosun. They glared for a moment, and then she stuck out her tongue giving him a raspberry and using her middle finger, pulled the bottom skin of her eye down with it. She slammed the door quickly behind her before Bosun could run after her. Her car was, as she had so masterfully planned, waiting right there for her when she walked out and, as casually as can be, climbed in next to a slinking Will.

“Ok (7) Erik, lets go” she said calmly to her driver. The man turned slightly to nod and the car began to move out of the driveway. She giggled girlishly as she watched Will trying desperately not to be seen in her car by the guards as they drove away. Once they were beyond the gates, Will lifted his head and gave a sigh of relief. Finally, he was leaving, and this time, it was going to be for good.

“Feel better now?” Julz asked, watching him.

“Yes, thanks.” Will said sheepishly.

“Well, it’s a long ride, so make yourself comfortable dear.” She said sitting back and pulling out a bottle of chocolate milk.

“Do you happen to have anything to eat?” he said a little unsure of himself. He hadn’t realized how hungry he was until he saw the chocolate pouring almost hypnotically into her cup.

“Have you eaten today? Do you want to stop somewhere and get something to eat before we get to the factory? You do look starved to death!” She asked.

“If its not a problem…” he said feeling a little guilty, she had done so much already for him today, but now to feed him too.

“Its not a problem,” she leaned to the front of the car to her driver. “Erik doll, would you mind stopping off at like a (8) Burger King or something?” she said politely. The driver turned to her and nodded again, this time though, Will noticed that he was wearing a strange (9) white mask on the side of his face. “Of course Madam,” he said with a slight accent. Julz leaned back into her chair and looked at Will.

“Good?” she asked.

“Its fine, thank you!” he said excitedly.

“In the mean time, I want to hear about your exciting adventures with this pirate chap of yours! And don’t leave anything out!!” she said crossing her legs and sitting almost literally on Will’s lap. Julz reminded him of Lizzie whenever she wanted to hear his latest gossip.

So Will told his tragic tale, making sure as Julz instructed, not to leave anything out. The only time he stopped was when they stopped at a local Burger King to grab some food which Will gulfed down not to either of their surprise. He even noticed that her driver had looked up a couple of times to listen to his story. Finally, when it seemed like forever that he had been talking, he finished his story. Julz sat there expressionless for a moment then finally sighed.

“Well, you have certainly been through a lot in only five months.” She finally said.

“Gosh, it doesn’t even feel like it.” he said shaking his head and taking a sip of the chocolate milk Julz had originally poured for him.

“Well, it does to me..Goodness. I can’t even tell you how worried I was about you and Lizzie.”

“What about Mister Wonka? How have you two been doing since I left? I can’t even remember that last time I saw him.” He said eagerly now waiting for her turn to gossip. Although it occurred to him that he never really saw Mister Wonka, he only ever saw her.

“Oh well,” she paused and turned her head away from Will to hide her embarrassed expression. “He’s fine…still busy as ever. I can’t believe he even has time to sleep at night...” She paused again this time a little sad. “But, I love him so it’s ok.” She said turning back to him smiling.

“He did seem like a crazy workaholic to me when I met him.” Will said, trying to sound reassuring.

“Crazy is right,”

“Well then that would make you the perfect couple then right?” Will said jokingly.

The both chuckled and Julz looked out the window. “Oh good, we’re here!”

Will looked out the window and saw the ominous factory up ahead. In front of it was a (10) small boy standing to the side looking at it adoringly and both their eyes met as the car went threw the gates. He felt kind of bad for the kid; he looked like the kind of kid who stared at the factory daily, only being able to dream about the wonders inside. The driver parked to the side of the entrance and turned the car off. He got out and walked over to open the door on Will’s side. It was the first time he was actually able to look at him as he got out. The man was wearing a white mask, only half a mask while the other side showed an incredibly handsome face. He had dark hair and bright blue eyes (11) that seemed to carry all the sadness in the world, those pleading eyes, which both threatened and adored. Julz got out of the car behind him, Erik holding out his hand to help her to her feet. She thanked him and she and Will began walking to a different entrance then Will had gone through before.

“Can’t we go through the main door?” he asked.

“Not unless you want to be bombarded by (12)“Small World” rejects,” she said grumbling to herself.

“I don’t get it?” he said as she took out a set of keys and opened a door with bright yellow letters reading “Storage Room” on it.

“Oh, Willy’s got this new set up at the front door where guests are greeted to these (13) puppets singing his own theme song. I don’t know why he even bothered, it’s not like he lets anyone but me come in. It was cute at first but those things creep me out.” She said walking strongly ahead of Will.

“He has his own theme song?” Will said sarcastically.

“It’s actually kind a catchy.” Will was completely startled when Julz stopped in front of another large door. He had been engrossed in all the things around him that he hadn’t really been paying that much attention to where they were going. The smell of chocolate filled his nostrils and the strange looking machines packing them (14) looked like something out of a horror movie.

“Wait, “ Will could see that puzzled yet scheming look on Julz’s face.

“What’s wrong?”

“I’m going to go in first, I want you to wait here. There is something we need to hear first.”

Will was completely confused, but before he could reply, Julz had already walked into the other room and closed the door behind her. Jack was sitting on a smaller box between Lydia and Billeh munching on her lover’s chocolate. She noticed the open box by his feet marked (15) “Sleepy Hollow” and rolled her eyes. This guy certainly was something. She walked over to them crossing her arms, a stern look on her face as they finally turned toward her.

“There you are! We were beginning to worry!” Lydia giggled as she took another bite of her candy.

(16) “I can see that.”

Jack was staring hypnotically to Julz’s chest. “My god! You could kill someone with those! I mean, you could sink a ship with those guns!” he finally said.

Lydia and Billeh began laughing hysterically at Jack’s comment while Julz only blushed and crossed her arms. She could sense the twinge of jealously coming from the door behind her where she knew Will could hear perfectly. Jack put the candy down and rose to his feet, whipping the chocolate from his fingers on all articles of clothing on him.
“How is it that even though I love nailing men in the arse, I find your breasts terribly erotic?” he slurred walking toward her.

Julz tried desperately to keep a straight face but couldn’t help being a victim of this strange man’s charm, as everyone else seemed to as well.

“I don’t know, my breasts seem to just… lighten up the room when they’re aloft.”

“Well that’s for damn sure!” he almost screamed. Lydia and Billeh where now on the floor in tears, their candy bars tossed aside from the fits of laughter.

“No wonder you found yourself with a rich chocolatier boyfriend” Jack continued never once looking away from her chest.

“Well I’d hate to think that he liked me for my personality” she said, obviously hurt by the comment and making it clear in her voice that she was tired of this game.

“Can I touch them?” asked Jack making the “squishing” gesture with his hands moving them closer to her breasts.

“NO!” screamed what sounded like two voices. One was obviously Julz but the other was male. Jack semi-recognized the other voice and finally looked up and leaned to look at the door.

“Is there someone else out there?” he said pointing to the door. Julz moved herself in front of Jack’s view of the door.

“Should there be?” she blurted, trying to cover up the deceit.

“You were going to bring Will weren’t you?!” asked Billeh, finally containing his laughter.

“Truth is, I don’t know why?” she said bitterly.

“Juui-chan!” Lydia screamed, upset that Julz had scolded her newest wacky friend.

“It’s true,” her (17) disproving glare fixed on Jack. “You are old, dirty, lying, cheating, robbing, perverted…“

“Flattery with get you everywhere, savvy?” Jack said playfully.

“And a terrible influence on that pure boy. You’ve hurt him deeper then anyone and because of your selfishness have made his life more miserable. You don’t deserve such a good person as Will and you and I both know it. So give me one damn good reason why I should ever let you see him again because frankly I don’t see one.”

Jack stared at her, totally serious. Her words had actually cut him. The only other time that happened was when his sister’s voice rang in his head. The worst part was, like his sister, she was right. He knew he had hurt his precious Will and he really didn’t deserve to be forgiven by him. Will stood outside the door, breathless waiting for some kind of a reply.

“You’re right… I don’t deserve him. He’s truly too good for an old pirate like me.” Jack finally spoke. Will felt his heart begin to sink and (18) his organs separate.

“But, “Jack stopped. He finally realized what this whole thing was about and for the first time, didn’t feel any kind of doubt to say it. “Truth is, I love him. I love him so much. Sure, I feel bad about what I did—more than you’ll ever know. I thought that I was doing it for his own good, but now I see that I was just being selfish. Ever since that day, I just haven’t been able to forgive myself. And even if he doesn’t forgive me, I at least want to apologize, and leave remembering the good things we shared,” He paused and shifted slightly in his steps the heaviness of his words making him feel three feet tall.

“Because I love him.”

Will put his head against the door, tears once again filling his eyes, it was truly the first time he had ever heard Jack say he loved him, and mean it. Julz and Jack stood face-to-face, eye-to-eye—neither one of them flinching. Lydia and Billeh munched on the remainder of their chocolate bars, engrossed in the drama before them.

“I love him” Jack found himself repeating, the words becoming freeing rather than oppressive.

“Good,” Julz finally said, nodding her head and beginning to walk backwards. “Very good. I think that’s just what we all needed to hear” she smiled and as quickly as possible, grabbed the door handle and flung open the door. Will went falling forward right into an unprepared Jack causing the biker to go flying backwards from the force of Will falling on top of him. The two sat there for a moment in awkward positions before finally looking at each other.

(19)”Will!” Screamed Jack.

“Jack!” screamed Will.

“Will!” screamed Lydia and Billeh.

“Rocky!” screamed Julz comically.

Lydia and Billeh dashed toward Will and Jack trying to help them up. Julz closed the door and began walking toward them when there was a loud crash from the other side of the door. She ran back to see what it was while everyone stood there in horror. She opened the door to reveal a man with short brown hair; a velvet jacket and bluish purple eyes begin to rise from the floor, desperately trying to put his black top hat on.

“I didn’t expect you to close the door, “His childish voice mumbled as he tried to smile.

“I’m sorry sweetie!!” Julz said kissing him on the cheek.

“I just wanted to make sure everything was O.K. I was starting to get a little anxious,” he said with a goofy smile now covering his face looking at Julz. “I’ve made some of my bestest best hot chocolate for everyone too!” he nodded sounding proud of himself.

“Sound’s delicious. Lydia, Billeh, why don’t we go have some and let these two. . . catch up,” Julz said nodding towards the door and taking Willy by the hand leading him out. Lydia and Billeh took the hint and immediately started skipping toward the door giggling and singing “(20) Yah! Hot Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate! All for us!!” Julz just giggled and began to follow them. Willy began to follow her and before closing the door turned to the odd couple and smiled.

“I’ll have one of my Oompa-Loompa’s waiting for you so you can join us when your done, k?!” and with that he closed the door.

Jack turned to Will confused. “What the Hell is an Oompa-Loompa?” Will just laughed, shaking his head.

“Is that really what you want to talk about?” he asked nervously, bouncing on the palms of his feet. He hadn’t been around Jack in so long it still felt like a dream. He was still half expecting Jack to disappear if he tried to touch him just as the biker had in all his nightmares. Jack laughed wearily playing with the strand of bead
